Public and Environmental Health Council (PEHC)

Under the Public and Environmental Health Act 1987, every local council is required to submit a report to the Public and Environmental Health Council for each financial year. The council reports include information on:

• the standard of public and environmental health in the local council's area; and
• details of the measures that the local council has taken for the protection of public health as defined under Part 3 of the Act.
