Finding contact details for Local Government Authorities (Councils)

Most Local Government Authorities in South Australia are located in the populated areas in the southern part of the State. If you wish to identify the Local Council Authority for a particular suburb or town, you can use the search form below.

Please type in the first few letters of the Suburb or Town name ( for example, adel )
Leave blank if you wish to see the entire list.

When you have the name of the Council then contact details can be found at the
Local Government Association website.

In townships outside of council areas (in the north of the State) public health and food legislation is administered by the Public and Environmental Health Service. If the the search tells you that the township is OUTSIDE OF COUNCIL AREAS please contact the
Environmental Health Branch.
