- National
Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), This site provides
online viewing of various publications of the NHMRC as well as
media releases. The section on ethics includes articles on genetics,
cloning and client privacy.
- South
Australian Department of Health, Includes information
on services provided by the Department plus links to relevant
departmental sites.
- Fertility
Society of Australia, Gives the objectives
of the Society and provides many relevant links for those
interested in infertility.
- Infertility
Treatment Authority, The Infertility
Treatment Authority is the statutory body established by the
Victorian Parliament to administer the regulation of infertility
services and research into infertility within the State of
Victoria, Australia. It has been established under the provisions
of the Infertility Treatment Act 1995.
Support Groups
- OASIS
Infertility Support Inc, was a non-profit making, self help
and support group to give information on all aspects of infertility,
emotional support and understanding and advice on alternative ways of
parenting or childless living. Oasis was managed by a committee on a
purely voluntary basis but has now been dissolved due to lack of
volunteers to run it and a decline in people accessing their services.
Oasis will continue as a chapter of ACCESS in name only to continue

- ACCESS,
This is a national infertility
network in Australia. The site provides information and membership details. Fact
sheets can be sent for a fee.
- SANDS
(SA) Inc, SANDS is a self help volunteer organisation offering
mutual support to parents who have suffered reproductive loss, either
by miscarriage, a pregnancy terminated for genetic or medical reasons,
stillbirth or neonatal death. support is offered through monthly
support meetings and informal gatherings, monthly newsletters, a web
site, a library service, brochures and information sheets, and 7 day
telephone support.
- Endometriosis
Awareness Web Site, This is an excellent site on
endometriosis and has in fact won an award for its layout and
content. It contains a host of information, links to relevant
associations, a mailing list and a links page.
- Victorian
Endometriosis Association, This site includes a useful
glossary of medical terms specifically in regards to endometriosis
but it can be useful for looking up more generic terms also.
- Tasmanian
Endometriosis Association, There is a lot of information on
endometriosis in this site. A selection of articles from past newsletters is also
included.
- Donor
Conception Support Group, Included in this site is
information on the group and some articles by people who have been
a part of the group.
- Spermatology
WWW Home Page, A site dedicated to exploring
issues of male infertility.
- The
Australian Infertility Support Group (AISG), The Australian Infertility Support
Group (AISG) is a support group for people living in Australia and
New Zealand who are dealing with infertility.
