The Department of Health and the South Australian Council on Reproductive Technology (SACRT) routinely produce documents that report on reproductive technology issues of importance in South Australia.

SACRT Annual Report

The Annual Report is provided to the Minister for Health each March and printed and distributed to the public once tabled in Parliament. The reporting requirements for this document are contained in the Reproductive Technology (Clinical Practices) Act 1988.

12. (1)

The Council must, by 31 March in each year, present a report to the Minister on --

the use of reproductive technology in the State during the previous year;

any significant developments in the techniques of reproductive technology over that period;

any discernible social trends that became apparent over that period attributable to the use of reproductive technology;

any other matters of importance within the sphere of the Council's responsibilities.

12. (2)

The Minister must, within six days after receipt of a report under this section, cause copies of the report to be laid before both Houses of Parliament.

The Annual Report is provided for each calendar year. Selected sections from the Annual Report are available for online viewing and will be updated as new reports are published.

The Bulletin

The Quarterly Bulletin is a publication that is aimed at providers, consumers and interested individuals. It is a useful tool for people wanting to keep up to date with the work of the SACRT and the Department, the current issues they are dealing with, how they consult and news from across Australia and around the world on reproductive technology issues.

The Bulletin is released in Autumn and Spring each year. The list of contents of the previous Bulletin is available for online viewing and will be updated as new bulletins are released.
