Membership
of the SA Council on Reproductive Technology
The SACRT membership consists of
individuals who take a professional or personal interest in reproductive
technology issues. Membership is regulated under the terms outlined
in the Reproductive Technology Act
1988.
The legislation requires that the SACRT
consists of eleven members of which one must be nominated by:

the Council of the University of
Adelaide
-
the Council of the Flinders University
of South Australia
-
the Royal Australian College of
Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
-
the Royal Australian College of
General Practitioners
-
the Heads of Churches in South
Australia
-
the Law Society of South Australia
The remaining five members are nominated
by the Minister for Health.
When considering nominees, the Minister
for Health is required to be mindful that the SACRT has available
to it the necessary expertise in the various facets of reproductive
technology, that other relevant disciplines and backgrounds are
represented in the membership, and that men and women are equally
represented where possible.

Dr Peter Woolcock (Chair) - nominated by the Minister for
Health, Adjunct Associate Professor of Philosophy
at the University of South Australia

Dr Sheryl deLacey (Deputy Chair) - nominated by the Minister for
Health, Senior Lecturer & Associate Dean (Higher Degrees), School
of Nursing & Midwifery, Flinders University

Dr Rob Pollnitz, nominated by
Heads of Churches, Paediatrician, Women's and Children's Hospital and
the Queen Elizabeth Hospital

Dr Anusha Visvanathan, nominated by the Royal Australian College of
General Practitioners, General Practitioner

Associate Professor Ossie Petrucco, nominated by
the Council of the University of Adelaide, Head of the Reproductive
Medicine Unit, The University of Adelaide

Dr Terry Donald, nominated by the Minister for Health,
Paediatric Forensic Physician, Head of the Child Protection Services,
Women's and Children's Hospital

Ms Bernadette Richards, nominated by the Minister for Health,
Lecturer, Law School, The University of Adelaide

Mr Martyn Evans, nominated by the Minister for Health, Consultant

Dr Enzo Lombardi, nominated by Flinders University, Acting
Medical Director of Flinders Reproductive Medicine

Dr Jodie Semmler, nominated by RANZCOG, is
a Gynaecologist
All members are appointed by the Governor
of South Australia and sit for a term of three years with the possibility
of reappointment.
