OASIS Infertility Support Inc

Information

A wide range of informative views and medical facts are provided via a library containing videos, books, and reciprocal newsletters.  This library is now located at SHineSA at Kensington.  To contact them please phone 8364 5537 or email sharon.pawelski@health.sa.gov.au.

ACCESS- Australia's National Infertility Network

ACCESS, Australia's National Infertility Network, is committed to being a national voice in promoting the well-being and welfare of infertile people of all ages, through representation in the general community and in the medical, scientific and political arenas. 

ACCESS:

• addresses the need for an organisation in Australia which provides a cohesive approach to the management of issues and services for infertile people at a national level;

• provides members with a range of fact sheets covering many aspects of infertility and a quarterly newsletter;

• holds a central group register of all of the infertility self help groups which have been established in regional areas around Australia and New Zealand and a list of accredited Infertility Clinics;

• aims to develop a Counselling Referral Network throughout Australasia, comprising professional counsellors who work in the field of infertility; and

• has representation on the board of the International Federation of Infertility Patient Associations (IFIPA).

National Infertility Awareness Week is a major initiative of ACCESS.

Donor Conception Support Group

This support group was founded in 1993 to:

• provide support to people contemplating use of donor gamete/embryos, to existing parents and to the children themselves;

• increase public awareness of the use of donor gametes; and

• provide support to Adult Donor Offspring.

As a support group they are able to help each other in making the decision to use a donor, and in the experience of being on a clinic program. For those who have children, the opportunity to meet other donor gamete families. A recent survey has shown that as children get older they sometimes feel they would like to talk to other D.I. children as well.

The Donor Conception Support Group produces a bimonthly newsletter, holds information nights and maintains a library that is available for use by group members.  The group can be contacted through:
